The 6th International Pilgrimage for Persons with Disabilities will be held in Medjugorje from June 15 – 18, 2017. Gathering and accommodation of pilgrims in homes of the parishioners shall take place on Thursday, June 15.

PROGRAMME OF THE PILGRIMAGE

THURSDAY 15. 06. 2017.

  • 15:00 – 17:00 – ARRIVAL
  • 18: 00 – The evening prayer programme, Rosary, Holy Mass, prayer for the healing, Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

FRIDAY, 16. 06. 2017. HALL OF JOHN PAUL II

  • 9:00 – 11:00 – introduction of participants according to their groups
  • 11:15 – 12:00 – 1. lecture // music workshop on White Dome
  • 12:30 – lunch in houses
  • 15:30 -17:00– PRAYER OF THE WAY OF THE CROSS for disabled persons
  • 17:30 – 18:00 – presentation of the International movement “Faith and the light”
  • 16:00 – participants (parents and friends) shall join the parish in a prayer of the Way of the Cross on Cross Mountain for parishioners
  • 18: 00 – The evening prayer programme, Rosary, Holy Mass, prayer for the healing, Veneration of the Holy Cross

SATURDAY, 17. 06. 2017.

  • Morning: ACTIVITIES IN MOTHER’S VILLAGE
  • 9:00 – 12:00: Prayer of Rosary for those who can climb Apparition Hill PODBRDO
  • 9:30 prayer of Rosary at the Statue of Our Lady on Hill
  • 12:30 – recess and lunch in houses
  • LUNCH FOR ONE-DAY VISITORS– to be individually organised
  • Afternoon – HALL OF JOHN PAUL II:
  • 15:30 – 16:15 – 2nd lecture
  • 16:15 – 17:00 – testimony
  • 17:00 – 17:45 – 3rd lecture
  • 18: 00 – The evening prayer programme, Rosary, Holy Mass, prayer for the healing
  • 22:00 – EUCHARISTIC ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT

SUNDAY, 18. 06. 2017. White Dome

Lecturer: Fr. Ante Vučković, OFM

Fr. Ante Vučković, OFM, was born in Sinj in 1958, and he is a member of the Franciscan Province of the Most Holy Redeemer in Split. He attended and completed studies at the classical secondary college and seminary in Sinj, while he studied theology in Makarska and Zagreb. He was ordained as a priest in 1983. He studied philosophy in Munich and Rome where he obtained his doctorate in modern philosophy. He taught philosophy in Rome at the Pontifical University Antonianum and at the Franciscan faculty of Theology in Makarska. He is a philosophy professor at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Split. He also lectures at the faculty of Philosophy at the same university. During the time of the war and in the post-war period, he was specially engaged in issues of reconciliation and forgiveness as a part of the Franciscan Institute for the culture of peace in Split. He guides spiritual exercises, seminars and spiritual retreats. He is a spiritual counsellor and advisor. He has published a number of books and his works are published in professional and other periodicals. Parishioners and pilgrims in Medjugorje know him as a recognised speaker and he was the main lecturer during the 25th Youth Festival in 2015. His catechesis were published later in a book, Behold, your mother (2016), by Information Centre Mir Medjugorje.
